Pluto, we "meet" again!
21 March 2005

I took my first image of Pluto in 1995 with a home made CCD Camera (CCD Cookbook) using a small 4.5 inch Newtonian telescope. Click here to view first image.
This time I took the images with a SBIG ST-7E CCD camera, on loan from Berto Monhard, using a larger, 8 inch f/5 SkyWatcher Newtonian telescope. Both images where taken by "adding" 4 images, each with a exposure time of 10 sec. This gives a effective exposure time of 40 sec per image.

The images are centered at about:
RA: 17h 37m 8.7s and Dec: -15° 08' 32.5"

Below are two images taken on 19 and 21 March 2005.

19 March 2005 at 01h49 UT

21 March 2005 at 01h56 UT

"Flipping" the two images back and forth (blink comparing) one can see the movement of Pluto in a time period of 2 days.
